Mykaela Jay launches stand alone, heart felt single as part of album crowdfund campaign.
Written and recorded over the last month, 'Letting Go' is Mykaela's most intimate and stripped back single to date. The song features guitar, a choir of delicate voices (Tiahn Gambley and pop sensation Franki Kaneur) and Cello, written and arranged by young composer 'Tilly Jones'.
The single is "very raw and filled with love and reflection" Mykaela wrote, touching on themes of shifting love, and relationships both new and old. Over the thick cry of the Cello and Choir the chorus rings out "Can't you see me? I've been trying... I've been caught up in your silence."
Produced by Mykaela Jay herself, and mixed and mastered by Brad Wann, the song was recorded entirely in Jay's bedroom. "I wanted the whole song to be reflective of my process, and that meant my bedroom and my space had to be central to the track." The track is being released as a stand alone single exclusively on 'Band Camp' as part of Jay's album crowdfund campaign.
