Kicking off their career in Melbourne, Mykaela Jay has sung their way from Brisbane, to Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and back home again. Since their return to Australia they relocated to the Northern Rivers where they have played with artists such as William Crighton, Bronte Eve and Andie. Throughout 2020 Mykaela became locally known for conducting a series of intimate, outrageous and unique house concerts and gigs.
In early 2021 following the release of their third single ‘Warrior’ Mykaela kicked off a 2 week tour across Victoria playing venues such as the 'Colour Club' and 'Open Studio' with local artists Gaia Scaft, Neeko, Pia Nesvara and more, gaining recognition for their release in ‘Beat Magazine’. Following this tour Mykaela left to Alice Springs with RnB Artist ‘Kodivine’ for a two week tour consisting of 4 shows sold out, with a band and solo.
Mykaela’s live shows are captivating, authentic and deeply moving. Their music has been described as “both infectious and insightful” while audience members have commented it is a “rare gift to have such natural charisma and stage presence.”
Following the release of their well received singles 'A Dog’s Way Home', 'Purple Flowers' and ‘Warrior’ Mykaela is currently patching together the final pieces of their debut album 'Mother Dearest' set to release in November 2021.
